Turntable DUAL 505, alder veneer
Dual 505 turntable - in a wooden plinth, covered with natural alder veneer, finished with traditional shellac polish. Massive, sounds great and looks great.
Dual 505 with a light ULM (Ultra Low Mass) tonearm - a classic turntable with a belt drive, manufactured in the early 1980s. Here in a wooden plinth, covered with natural alder veneer, covered with traditional shellac varnish. Fully functional.
On request, we can prepare a turntable for use in the USA free of charge (replacement of the motor pulley and change of electrical connections and adaptation of the motor to 110 - 125 V, 60 Hz).
The Dual 505 is a semi-automatic turntable - starting playback is done manually; after listening, the arm lifts above the record and the motor stops.
The turntable has undergone a comprehensive service inspection; has been cleaned and properly lubricated. All functions working. Has normal signs of use. It is in very good technical condition. Replaced with new capacitors in the power path. The engine holds the revs properly. Pitch control works fine.
ULM tonearm with original DUAL TKS237 cartridge and new spherical stylus. The original weight adapter is included with the counterweight; after removing it, inserts with a very low mass, dedicated to ULM type arms, can be mounted in the headshell.
UPGRADE:
- new audio cables were installed (interconnect - made on a low-capacity DK4 cable from Schulz-Kabel; signal and ground cables for each channel were routed separately, the ground of the turntable itself was also carried out separately - with a cable shield; RCA "Amphenol" plugs were installed).
The plinth is made entirely of wood, covered with natural alder veneer and covered with traditional shellac polish.
Blackened brass feet, made in the form of spikes, minimize the transfer of ground vibrations to the turntable housing and tonearm.
The turntable has no cover.
